Description: 

Hip holds are a staple to an infinite number of inverted movements and transitions. From a secure and mastered Basic Invert and with the back of one shoulder securely on the pole (NOT with your chest on the pole) squeeze your legs together and begin bending knees down toward your chest into tuck position. Encourage your students to use their hands on the pole if they feel unstable and always be sure to give them a proper hands-on spot throughout this move. From the Inverted Hip Hold Tuck position, you can transition into the Inverted Straddle.
